Scott Field Heritage Air Park Scott Field Heritage Air Park

At bases throughout the United States Air Force, air parks are used to display Air Force aircraft and commemorate significant events. The Scott Field Heritage Air Park, a four-acre park just outside the main gate at Scott Air Force Base, continues that long and honored tradition of portraying the history of Scott Air Force Base, the Air Mobility Command and the Airlift, Air Refueling and Aeromedical Evacuation missions.

The Scott Field Heritage Air Park includes the workhorses of the Air Mobility Command, the C-141 Starlifter, KC-135 Stratotanker and the C-130 Hercules. These aircraft have played significant roles supporting our nation's military from Vietnam through today's global war on terrorism in Afghanistan and Iraq. Additionally the air park will have on display the C-9 Nightingale, C-140 Jetstar, and the C-21 Lear Jet. All three of these aircraft were flown by men and women assigned to Scott AFB. The C-9 Nightingale was the nation's only aircraft dedicated to the lifesaving Aeromedical Evacuation mission.
