Sycamore, Alabama

Sycamore is a small community just north of Sylacauga. We will do a more in-depth visit of Sycamore in the future.

Seems to me, when I lived near the area, I remember a sign on Alabama Highway 21 that read "Home Town of Jim Nabors." Being a Jim Nabors/Gomer Pyle fan, I thought since we were in the area, that would be a great place to stop and check it out.

It looks like the sign is no longer on the highway. We drove around for a while to see what we could find. Unfortunately, we found nothing about Jim. We will investigate this more when we return to Sycamore!
