I had not been to Lincoln in many years, prior to this visit. But, I have fond memories of those earlier visits. My late cousin, Pete, worked as a policeman in Lincoln for a few years before he became a police officer in Talladega. visits. My Uncle Oscar was a pastor at the historic Blue Eye Baptist Church in Lincoln for a number of years. I enjoyed hearing and watching Uncle Oscar preach to his congregation. He was the old fashion Baptist preacher who got into his sermon and was all over the stage. Most of the time, I felt like he was preaching directly at me. Never could figure out how he knew what I had been up to those days! Miss you Uncle Oscar!
I want to thank Mickey for reintroducing me to the picturesque town of Lincoln. It was fun. Thanks Mickey!
